HOW DO I CONVERT TEXT TO A GRAPHIC

in an older verdion of word I could convert text in a box to a graphic and
resize it at will. Can i still do this in the XP version?

Select the text box - cut to the clipboard (CTRL+X) then edit > past special
as picture.
