How do I copy music to a diapositive presentation

I want to make a diapositive presentation (pp) with the music of a CD song
but i do not know how. Could you please send me instructions step by step of
how should I procede? I have windows XP and windows media

Basically you go to Insert - Movies and sound - Sound from file.
