How do I create a Custom Text List for Text 1 (OPS Locations)

We have about 30 Operations Locations for our complany and I am just starting
to set up a high level master Project view in MS Project Professional. I am
doing this by using "Text 1" and listing all our Operations Locations;
However, "Text 1" is not a "Text List Field". It would be beneficial to
select from a drop down list (Text List Field) similar to the "Resource
Names". Can this be done with the "Text 1" field or another similar field
within MS Project? The end result would be that I would like to set up a
"Operations Sheet" of which from my gantt chart, I can select the appropriate
Operations Locations. Thanks,

Insert Text1. Right click on the heading "Text1" and select Customize Fields.
(Alternative: Tools/Customize/Fields...). In the open dialog box, make sure
Text1 is selected.

Select value list and then enter the values there. You will have options
set a default value, and to restict if new values may (or may not) be added
by users. More help is available by seaching "Value List" in the help.

Jim - Thanks! Under Custom Attributes, I selected Lookup and then entered
the data values.
