can any one help direct or instruct me how to create a one page flyer that i
would distrubute to potential businesses and home owners.
purpose -- to generate customers for a "one man" painting business.

This is probably posted to the wrong group.
If you want to print addresses on a flyer from a database this is where you
want to be.
If it's a design problem then it depends on the software you use. Word has
templates for such things and is more than adequate in most cases.
