How do i create a "form field" for a jpeg instead of for text?

I am currently using Microsoft Word 2000 and am setting up a 'template'
document for other people to use. In order to gain consistency in the
documents, it has beens et up using form fields. In this way I was hoping to
protect the font, size, style and type of text etc. I have now got to the
position where all my text is fine. However, I am struggling because all the
documents will need one photo on (saved in Jpeg format). Each document will
have a different image although again I am hoping to protect the size,
border, justification, location etc of that photo. Effectively I would like
someone to be able to click (or double-click!) the template image and be
presented with a browse menue to select a jpeg to replace the template one.
Is this possible and how!?

You will need a macro that unprotects the document, then shows the
Insert>Picture dialog then reprotects the document. I would suggest that
you insert a bookmark at the place where you want the picture to be
inserted.

ActiveDocument.Unprotect
ActiveDocument.Bookmarks("Picture").Range.Select
Dialogs(wdDialogInsertPicture).Show
ActiveDocument.Protect

For a sample template that does this, download the form_picture item
from http://jay-freedman.info.

Save the file in your templates folder. To find the location, select
Options from the Tools menu and then select File Locations.
