How do i create a navigation bar in Front Page?

When use the web component 'link bar' i choose the link bar based on a
navigational structure. Once i have followed the steps were the bar should be
it says [Edit the properties for this link bar to display hyperlinks here]
what do i do?

assuming you've dragged your pages out into "navigation view" first, just
click that "edit this link bar" message, tell it what kind of bar you want,
etc and everything should be OK.

On Link Bar properties General tab, change the group of pages to
display links for - if you choose "child level" that error will appear
on every page that does not have any child pages.
Also ensure you have created a navigation structure by dragging pages
into Navigation View and building a navigation tree.
