How do I create a poster board in power point or publisher?

Does anyone know how to create a poster board using power point or publisher?
I know it can be done but I'm finding it awfully difficult to figure out
how.

While you can create oversized documents with PowerPoint, I'd rely more on
Publisher to do that. PowerPoint is really not a print medium.

What do you want to know about? To start off, you can set up the size using
Page setup (File > Page Setup).
To design, you can make use of word art and autoshapes.
