I do not have excel, and I have rec'd an e mail with an excel attachment, the

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.

You can also find some good Outlook Express information here:

http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com

You may also want to go to Microsoft Office Downloads page and get the Excel
Viewer.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, raisie asked:

Actually, it's not an OE question either, it's an Excel question. Raise
doesn't have Excel but wants to view an Excel file. Answer: download and
install Excel Viewer from MS for free (link in other post).

Now who wants to answer my question/post? :)

Cheers,

Craig
