how do I create an updateable/real time log in excel?

I want to create a work order log that is updateable, and can be accessed by
various departments. I need this in order to create work orders and also to
show when they have been completed.

-- I have no idea how to set it up, and make it accessable to all departments. I have never created a log like this before, so I am not versed at all on how to create it.

Keep it simple. The more complicated you make it, the more difficult it will
be for the end users. And if something goes wrong, we both know who they
will look to for help.

Just use column headers for the various items you want to track. Format date
columns if you want. Copy it over onto a network drive that all of the
departments can access.
