Hmm, perhaps you would be better of using Word for this.
There is a wizard in Powerpoint that will do what you want, sort off.
Activate the new presentation task pane click on the third link from the top
section (PPT2003, 2002 should be similar), should be called autocontent
wizard (or something to that extent). Look for Certificate, I don't know in
what category it is in.

While PowerPoint can do it, you are probably better off in Word or
Publisher.
