How do I create extra columns in an Outlook Distribution list?

Want to have other categories in distribution list outside of name and email.
Like Company etc. Can't find answer anywhere. help please

You can't find the answer because it can't be done. The window that displays the members of a DL is not customizable.

Thanks Sue. Disappointing as I would think this would be an obvious
addition. May be a good one for a suggestion award.

This is such a frustrating short-coming in Outlook. Moving to Outlook 2007
from OE, I have a multitude of DL's and I want to easily convert them to
categories, which I would prefer to use. However, since the DL display
doesn't show the category column, it is impossible to determine what has been
converted without checking each one individually. Is this intentional by
Microsoft for some reason, or just an oversight? Does anyone have a
workaround suggestion?

1. Outlook and OE are two very different products aimed at different target
audiences.
2. Distribution lists are very different from OE's groups. Groups are
essentially a separate folder containing these contacts, not a true DL.
