how do I crop an image in outlook?

I use to have the options to crop and have arrow pointers etc in Outlook.
The last time my computer was re-imaged these options disappeared. Does
anyone know how to get them back? For now I am doing my work in word and
copying and pasting into outlook.

Is Outlook configured to use Word as the new-mail editor?
