Hi,
If you are talking about an Autonum field, insert a record into your table
that inserts 9999 into the Autonum field. Compact and Repair your database,
THEN delete the dummy record. (if you compact/repair after deleting the
dummy record your autonum field will be reset).
eg: docmd.runsql "Insert into TABLENAME(IDFIELD) values(9999)", true
The next record you insert into that table will be ID 10000.
