HOw do I delete(stop) a file that outlook cannot send?

I tried to send a file on outlook, but the file was too big. As a resulting
outlook has been trying to send that file and it keeps on saying sending
message 1 of 1. The message shows up on my outbox. When i try stop it, i
says that i cannot perfom this operation becuase outlook is already in the
proscess of sending it.My outlook has been slow because of this and I have
not been able to use it in a while. Can someone help me as to how i stop this
process.

Start your computer w/out any network connection. You should be able to
start Outlook at this point and deal with the message.
