how do I delete the auto saved texts from word documents

As I'm typing long documents, the computer automatically saves the document
before I do. Where does the temporary saved text go to and do I need to
delete it in order to speed up my computer?

If in fact your Word is Autosaveing, it is updating the file you have
open. AutoRecover is a seperate file, in case you hose the computer and
it has to restart. And no it deleted the Autorecover file if you exit
the word file normally. You need to do nothing.

Check your Options in whatever version of Word you are using for default
paths.
And no it wont speed up your PC in whatever o/s you are using
