The new Microsoft installation SUCK!!!!! I like the old way
1,000,000,000,000,000 times better. I simply want to do an administrative
installation. Is there a plain english explaination to accomplish this?

Hi David,

FWIW, I recall similar comments when for MS Office 2000 MS switched *to* MS Installer and Custom Installation Wizard from the
Office 95/97
Acme-Setup.exe and Office 'Network Installation Wizard' :)

For Office 2007, the Office Network Installation Point (oNIP) replaces the Office Admin Point. With the Office Admin Point you
needed a separate one for each Office product. For Office 2007 you can put all of them in one.

You can precache the MSOCache local installation source to computers and do then run locally on the PCs (installation is from the
Local Installation Source in Office 2007, not from the oNIP).

For using Group Policy deployment (which unfortunately doesn't have all of the features that folks would like to have) :( you can
use the information in the Office 2007 Resource Kit (ORK 2007)
