How do I disable add-ons that I do not recognize?

I keep getting kick off the internet. Several times in a sitting. After
sending an error report, I finally received a message that I need to rutn off
Internet Explorer add-ons that I do not recognize. But before I could use the
link, I got kicked off again. Please let me know how to turn off these
unwanted add-ons.

While you are NOT logged onto the Internet:
Start | Control Panel | Internet Options
"Programs" tab
"Manage Add-ons..." button

The Publishers that I allow are:
Microsoft Corporation
Adobe Systems
Macromedia, Inc.
