How do I disable hyperlinks in Publisher 2002?

I know how to disable hyperlinks individually, but is there a way to tell
Publisher I don't want it to create a hyperlink every time I type an email
address? I am creating a directory that will be printed, and I want people's
email addresses to appear as text not as a link.

This is not happening to me when I type an email address. Click the hyperlink
icon on the toolbar if you are in the web page mode. It makes it a little easier
than the pull down menu to remove the hyperlink. If you are in the publication
mode, customize your toolbar by dragging the hyperlink icon to the publication
menu.

I don't know why hyperlinks are automatically added when you type an email
address. Try a detect and repair under help.

Interesting. When I type an email address directly in Publisher, the
hyperlink does not appear. But I have been editing the lists in Word
(because they have been sent to me as doc files) and then cutting and pasting
them into Publisher, and it is when I transfer them that the links appear. I
have disabled each link in Word so no links appear when I cut the addresses,
but once I paste them into Publisher, links appear. In Word there is an
option in the autocorrect menu to create or not create a hyperlink when a web
address is typed. I was hoping there was something similar in Publisher, but
I've not been able to locate it.

Thanks for your help.
