How do I display both the Company and Contact bolded in Outlook

B

In my previous operating system, my Outlook contact files showed both the
Company and the Contact Name in bold type in the shaded area at the top of
each contact file. In XP, I can get either the Company or the Contact in the
shaded area but not both. What am I missing?

Try changing the file as field to one of the options that includes both.

Do you mean 'file as' in Tools>Options>Preferences>Contact Options>Default
'file as order'? I tried selecting "Conpany (Last, First)", but it still
only displays the company in the bolded header.

You also have to open each contact and change the file as field to "Company
(Last, First)"

If the contacts are already set with that as the file as format - right
click on a blank area below or beside any of the contacts in the Address
Card view. Choose Customize Current View. Click on Fields button and see
what field is listed at the top of the list of Fields. You'll need File As
listed there.

Bingo! (Strange that it didn't come over that way in the .pst file). Thanks
Diane.

Do you have to change each contact then individually?? I just imported a
large list of contacts, and even though my "file as" contacts option for new
contacts is set (in Options) to Company (last, first), none of the imported
contacts are being displayed that way - only as Last, First.

Help! I would very much appreciate any advice you have to give.

Thanks!

Jen
