How do I do auto slide transition with background music?

I have music set to play for first three slides. When I add automatic slide
transitions, applied to all slides, when I run the show, the slide do not
automatically advance. I'm thinking it has something to do with the music,
but I checked the settings and all seem correct. Any input is appreciated!
