How do I do minutes when I don't do shorthand

I have to take Minutes of a Meeting. I do not do shorthand. What is the best
way to do this, bearing in mind it will be in longhand?

This is hardly the place for advice on writing notes a meeting in
'longhand'..

Low technology - take a tape recorder. That's what our secretary does for
our organization. She can then take the tape home and create her report from
that. Plus, she can pay attention to the meeting instead of just
hyperfocusing on her notes. (And believe me, the region meeting we had
earlier today was well worth enjoying the events! We installed new officers
today so the out-going region director was in an interesting frame of mind.
What a hoot!!)

Thank you very much, most helpful. I have an interview on Monday and that
subject may crop up and I have an answer! I have been an audio typist for
years - working from manual to electronic typewriters to computers, I
realise that there is more to computers than just typing a letter!
