How do I double underline in word

I need to know how to go back and fourth between double underlining and sigle
underlining.

It's under Format-Font.
You could assign a shortcut key or toolbar button to double-underline.
Tools->Customize, choose the Commands tab. On the left, choose Format, on
the right, choose double-underline and go from there...
