how do I download a video drive?

I play Guild Wars(online Game) and for some reason I Cant log on. This is
what it tells me:
"Unable to initialize 3D Output Please verify that you have installed
DirectX8 and a updated Video Driver".
Can someone please help me out :| . Thanks
