Are you sure nothing is happening? Service Pack 3 is 16 megabytes or 58
megabytes depending on which version you choose, and will take a while
to download (especially if you're on dialup).

Yep, nothing happens. I'm on DSL and it says it should take 7 minutes to
download. But no new screen pops up, no hourglass, etc. I've tried it on
different days, same result. Do I need to wait a few minutes for it to get
started?

No, the download should start fairly quickly. Try working through the
troubleshooting steps in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=304498 "The
update process starts and then unexpectedly quits after you click 'Check
for Updates' on the Office Update Web site".

Interesting development. I disabled my Norton Internet Security and then was
able to download SP3. I rebooted and went back to the Office Update page.
It now shows 5 more small SP updates, with 1 minute download time. But I am
not able to download them even with Norton I.S. disabled. Again, nothing
happens when I click on the Agree and Install button. Is my computer weird?
I've never had this problem before with any updates. And, yes, my copy is
legal.
