How do I drag/delete a page break

D

Dick B.

I have a brand new computer. All software new. Have done precious little
resetting of any defaults. Am running MS Home XP with 2003 Word. In one
Word file I created I cannot put my cursor "on" the page break line (when in
Normal view) so as to either delete or drag it. I created another Word file
and in that one, in Normal view, I can put my cursor on the page break line
but I cannot drag it. I can, however, put my cursor on the page break line
and delete it. Hmmmmmmmmm. Any ideas out there?

Avoid using manual page breaks at all. Format the paragraph you want to
begin the new page as page break before. This is in paragraph formatting.

Here's a place to get you started learning Word. It is worth spending the
time.

If it is a "soft" page break (one generated by Word), you won't be able to
move it. Only manual page breaks can be moved.
