how do I draw intersecting autoshapes

I wish to draw intersecting circles (a venn diagram) and add text inside the
circle. I want the intersecting areas to be visible.
If I draw the circles in Word then they overlap and do not show the
intersecting areas.
If I use the venn diagram on the drawing toolbar, then I cannot add text
inside the circles.
If I draw the venn diagram in Paint and paste into my Word document then the
resulting image is a bit tacky.

Try using Transparency fill effects. I used 75% and it worked well to show
the overlap.
