How do I edit an imported Visio drawing in Word.

I am running Word 2000 and Visio Pro 2002. I have a Visio drawing within my
Word document. I previously could edit the drawing by launching Visio from
within Word (right click on drawing, Visio Object, Open) and once I'm
finished editing and close Visio, the edits would be reflected in the drawing
within the Word document. However, recently this stopped working. Any clues
as to why or what a potential fix is?

Hi Gary,

Is the Visio item an object (which would connect it
back to the Visio app) or only a pasted or Inserted from
file picture?

If you set the wrap style of the picture to 'inline with text'
from using the picture toolbar and use Alt+F9 to toggle
the graphics/field code displays you should see 'embed'
in the field code if it's a linked visio object.

Hi Bob,

I verified that it is definitely an object. Wrap style is "inline with
text" and displaying the graphics code does say {EMBED Visio.Drawing.6}.
