how do I edit the link bar fonts?

Maybe you guys missunderstood my question. I don't want to modify the theme
or style of the link bar I just want to edit the color/size/font of the
buttons.

I think the only way to change the font and size would be to somehow edit
the buttons in a art program and save them as a picture. Then make the
picture a hyperlink.
