How do I enable attachments in Outlook 2000?

Well same as the other fellow, I have problems finding the option to allow
attachments being dowloaded using that little paperclip on the right side of
the screen. (At the moment it's all grayed out.)

Why does Outlook disable that feature by default?

I followed the steps for editing the registry that I found in this Microsoft
Knowledge Base Article. It worked for me.

After that, I found this add-on that will give you the option from within
Outlook. This worked fine for me.
