How do I enlarge a single pie chart slice (9) and not remove it.

I have selected the pie chart in Visio 2003 and set 9 slices. I want to
enlarge individual slices while maintaining the chart. When I have 3-4
slices, I can unprotect and enlarge the slice keeping the center point and
expanding out. But when the number of slices increases, sections (3, 4, 5
slices) move I but cannot increase individual slice size.

If it is like the 2007 version, with a little creativity, you can get it to
work.

The shape has one visible custom property, but it has ten hidden custom
properties.
So, after selecting the shape, display the custom property window and select
"Define". This will open a new window to let you change the properties of
the individual custom properties. Un hide the custom properties that are
hidden. Once you have done that, the extra custom properties will be visible
in the custom property window.

The same can be done by modifying the shapes main shapesheet.

Before proceeding, a little background. The visible custom property is the
number of slices, the next ten are the individual values for the slices.
Initially these slices have a value equal to 100 divided by the number of
slices ( provided the slice number is less than the number of slices )

So now you can enter values into the custom properties to change the pie
slices. Remember, that the slices have to add up to 100
