how do i export contacts from outlook to excel

outlook is requiring that I install a translator...what is this. Basically
all I want to do is export from outlook contacts to excel.

As you are exporting to a different format, Outlook will need to know how to
write to this format; via a translator. You can install these via the setup
of Outlook if you had not done that upon the initial installation.

An alternative method to export your contacts to Excel without installing
