I'm usually the one asking questions here, but exporting is usually quite
easy. If you have the same office version as I do, Office 2003, go to File,
then click on import and export. A "wizard" will open and walk you through
the process. What program are you exporting to? a .pst file is the main
file for Outlook, which contains most of your Outlook info: contacts, appts.,
etc. Not all settings are contained there, but most are. The wizard allows
you to choose whichi files are exported. Hope this helps, otherwise, ask
again!

Do not export or import. Create a new PST, copy your contacts folder to it
and copy that PST to the other computer. The receiving computer can open
that PST in Outlook and have access to all the contacts.

Thank you, I will give this a try. Will my contact list, merge with the 2nd
computers contact list? I am hoping that it does. the route I was trying to
do was to export from my computer. (which I believe I did correct), However,
I was unable to import on my boss's computer.

The method I describe will make a separate Personal Folders list containing
a separate Contacts folder. The merging can then be controlled by the user
by dragging-and-dropping or copying the contents of that new Contacts to the
user's main Contacts or the user can leave the new Contacts where they are
and enable that folder as an address book, which will make it availabe when
s/he clicks To

Hi This is my first post so I hope I am doing this right. I have Outlook
2002 and Iam trying to export just a filtered list of contacts...Is this
possible? Thanks

Hi,
I probably was not clear enough...I have selected certain contacts and have
used a filter plus I have omitted certain information I do not need that are
already in fields. As an example I do not need the fax number for the export
while it is in the "address card". I am looking at all of what I need
transferred in the "grid" format, not address card as it has been edited.
When I copy and paste this info to Word, I get an image of the address card
with all the data and what I need is exactly what I have filtered...Thanks

That's because word supports OLE - you need to paste special - as text or
paste into notepad then copy from notepad. (I use a tray applet called Pure
Text skip the notepad step.)
