I need to export old Outlook Express DBX emails into a PST file that can work with newer Outlook versions. From what I understand, Unicode PST is better for newer Outlook editions and large mailbox data. My DBX files contain old emails, attachments, and some long mail threads. I want to avoid file corruption or missing emails during export. Has anyone done DBX to Unicode PST conversion before? What is the safest way to create a clean PST file from DBX emails and then open it in Outlook?

Old Outlook Express DBX files should be handled carefully because they were made for a different mail system. New Outlook versions work better with PST files, so direct opening is not really the right way.
For DBX to PST work GainTools DBX to PST Converter can be a useful option. It allows selecting the required DBX file and saving the converted PST at a chosen location. It also keeps emails, attachments, folders and message details during export. That matters when the DBX file has long mail threads or old client emails.
For Unicode PST, do a small test first instead of converting everything at once. Convert one DBX file open the PST in Outlook and check folder names, attachments, dates and message body text. If the test PST opens properly in the newer Outlook version, then continue with the remaining DBX files. Keep the original DBX backup untouched.
