How do I export outlook settings from one computer to another

I have a laptop and a desktop. Both have 2 different email profiles that I
switch between and use a business contact manager database. The laptop works
perfectly when searching contacts etc. The desktop throws all kinds of
errors during search . I think it has something in a setting and wanted to
copy one to the other. How do you do it?

Thanks in advance for any help!

For years we were running into problems with our Outlook and e-mails settings
and BCM with both Outlook and BCM contacts when we would take out laptops
home to work and then have them sync when we reconnected to the main Outlook
and BCM db.

Last year we converted to a MS ID e-mail address via Office Live and applied
the outlook connector and it has functioned perfectly and seamlessly ever
since. This is not to mention that OL is intergrated Windows Live and the
features and possablities are far more than I could ever use. Plus it tie's
your personal and professional life with a web-site all into one pretty
package. The best part is that it is free or at least until you develop the
need to purchase additional storage space or users.

Actually I would imagine you would hope to have to buy the space because
that would mean business is booming.

"thank you Caterer" certainly Helpful! I am considering OL but due to the
size of my BCM database and the fact that I wish to share that database
(20,000 contacts) among two different ID's I'm suspecting the storage size
would be rather large and expensive.

If I could use OL as my exchange server, house my bcm locally, have two Id's
@company.com and several alias's that can share that database that would be
perfect. Doable?

I still need to be able to copy my settings from one laptop to the desktop
to fix the short term issue. Also, I'm new to these discussion groups. I
don't have an option to select this response as " helpful" only "did it
answer the question" ? am I missing something?

Hey Mav, I am sorry about that I should have just answered your question.

To copy your mail profiles go to the control panel and click on mail and you
will then see your profiles and the copy feature as well as other features
you might need.

I hope this solves your problem if not we have been thru so much with these
issues and the BCM etc and we have found many solutions, workarounds and
developed custom features, adin’s and custom programming so if you need
further help let me know we may have already been there.

Just my 02

appreciate it. Have a great day.
