How do I extract a summary report from Outlook simply listing ema.

I need a a list of my emails including the date received. I'm quite familiar
with the process of exporting from Outlook but I can't see any way of
including the received date. This is such a basic requirement that I can't
believe there isn't a solution to it. I'd appreciate help on this but
remember I've tried exporting using Outlook an I haven't got the desired
result.
