how do I find matrix characteristic values

I have an existing matrix in a worksheet and would like to calculate the
eigenvalues/eigenvectors of that matrix within the same sheet. If you can

Try a Google search for eigenvalue excel. To tell the truth, I did not
know you could do it with as simple a math program as Excel but you live
and learn!
