How do I find the larger file for Office 2000 Service Pack 3?

Nick H.

My computer faulted and produced a Windows Error window which sent out an
error report and then directed me to a Microsoft webpage that said that the
error could be corrected by updating with the SP3 for Office 2000 Pro. It
also said that there was a larger file that I could download if I did not
have the original installation disk, which is the case.

Where can I find this file?

See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=828450 "Why service packs,
updates, and security patches may require the Office 2000 CD-ROM".

Even if you use the full-file version of SP3 for Office 2000, you
may still be prompted to insert the Office 2000 CD. If you
cannot provide the CD when prompted, then the SP3 installation
will fail, and some of your Office applications may be left in a
non-functional condition.

The full-file version of SP3 for Office 2000 can be downloaded
from http://www.microsoft.com/office/orkarchive/2000ddl.htm
(scroll about halfway down the page to "Office 2000 Service Pack
3 (SP3)"... it's a 59.5 megabyte file).
