how do I find the percent / and make it work

I have pounds - amount of percent - total pounds

In table B (pounds) I enter the number of pounds I want

In table C (percent) I enter the percent amount I want (say 15%)

In table D (total pounds) the answer should be what was 15% of B

Is it pounds*percent=total pounds ?
I can't get it to work.

How do I do that

Also, is it done the same in Design View as in Database view ?
