How do I fix an application error in picture manager

When attempting to open a .jpg within Microsft Picture Manager, I recieve an
Application Error notice: The application failed to initialize properly. (0
x c0000006).
Press x to close application.

Thus, I am unable to even open the application. Please Help

Have you tried to open a different picture, from an entirely different batch
of pictures? It may be that the picture, or batch of pictures may be
corrupt. You can also try to open picture using MS paint. Hope this helps.
