How do I fix opening quotation marks overlapping text?

Q

Quinn

I was revising a document using Windows Vista Word and for some reason all
the opening quotation marks showed up overlapped the first letter of the text
of the quotation. I tried retyping the quotations but the same thing
happened. This happened on the screen and also when I printed the document.
What's wrong and how can I fix this?

There is no such thing as Windows Vista Word. Any version of Word will work
on Vista. I guess you must mean Word 2007?

Which font are you using? This problem sounds like a defective font ....
though Windows Vista - the operating system - is somehat fussy about printer
drivers. Documents are laid out according the the abilities of the printer
driver. If changing the font doesn't help, try updating (or at least
reinstalling) the printer driver.
