How do I force a new page based on the contents of a field?
I'm doing class reports with multiple classes and multiple students in each
class.
I want to print a seperate page for each class.
I've tried grouping on class number, then sorting on last, then first.
Everything
works fine except that the classes all run together until a page fills up,
then on to the next page..

Your grouping on Class is correct. Now you need a group footer. Put a page
break control in the group footer. You'll find the page break control in
Design - Controls.

Assuming that you used the report's grouping and sorting dialog, you can
add a group footer based on the class number.

After you have closed the dialog
Click on the new footer and in its properties go to the Format tab.
On the format section, you should see a Force New Page property.
Select After section to generate a page break at the end of each group.

You can even set the visible property of the group footer section to No
(false) and you will get the page break. On the other hand if you want
to you can add controls to give a count of the number of students in the
class in the group footer.

Group on Class Number and create a group footer. Put the page break in the
group footer.
