How do I force selection of email account

B

Ben Dover

I am a fairly new user to Outlook (2002) having recently converted all
my mail over from Mozilla Thunderbird.

As I have 4 separate email accounts and wanted them all available in a
single instance of Outlook rather than signing of with different
profiles, I have set up a bunch of email accounts and rules to move
incoming and outgoing mail to the correct folders and this works
beautifully.

Problem is though, when sending an email, I don't always remember to
change the account I am sending through which can be somewhat
embarrassing if you use the wrong one. Its not really a problem when
replying as Outlook will pick the right account, but more on new messages.

Is there a way of forcing a "select of email account" prior to sending?

Thanks
Ben

No. Use the Accounts toolbar button to select which account to use for
sending a new message. When replying to a message, the account through
which that message was received is also the account that will get used,
by default, when you reply to that message, unless you use the Accounts
toolbar button.
