How do I freeze cells in Excel?

umm....ive seen some worksheets that where the columns are locked in place
when one goes from left to right of the screen, but moves up and down. I'd
like to know how to do this. Any help will be greatly appreciated

It's Windows | Freeze Panes

If you would like to Freeze Row One and Column A onto the screen, click into
cell B2 before going to the Window Menu.
