Look at Import Export on the file menu in Outlook. There are a few options
to try like Import Mail and addresses..
Try it. But you may need to reimport into OE if it won't work directly on
the file.

And could you report back when you try? There's a number of people who don't
and your findings can help others if they look through the archives.

I was able to export the .wab as a "comma seperated value-.csv file" which
Outlook
took. But doggone it, now Word mail merge will not take it. Something about
Outlook not set as default, which I cannot find where to change!!!!!

That's simply not possible, since all current versions of Windows come
bundled with Internet Explorer and Outlook Express. Moreover, Outlook won't
run unless Outlook Express is installed, because OE and Outlook share some
DLLs.

Click Start>Run and enter WAB.EXE in the Open field. Click OK. Use the
Windows Address Book to import the WAB file you have. Then you should be
able to import that from within Outlook with File>Import and Export>Import
Internet Mail and Addresses.

Well, you don't state your version of Outlook, so it's hard to state exactly
how, but start IE and click Tools>Internet Options>Programs and in the
E-mail drop-down, choose Microsoft Office Outlook and see if that helps.

OE, if there, isn't in any menu I have, and just this summer I had to reload
windows xp on a new hard drive to get SP2 to load. Anyway the .csv file did
load into
word. The help pane in word let me point to the file instead of using
import. Thank you for your help Alan and Brian!

Whether or not it's in a menu doesn't impact whether or not it's installed.
Check in
%ProgramFiles%\Outlook Express and look for msimn.exe. That's OE.
