how do i get access 2003 to work with office 2003

I have Office 2003 (Student Edition) and need to have Access 2003. When I
try to install Access 2003 an error stating I do not have correct version of
Office comes up. Can anyone help or is there a more recent version of Access.

Are you trying to install an "upgrade" version of ACCESS 2003? I don't
believe the Student edition is a qualifying software to install an upgrade
version.

Office 2003 (and ACCESS 2003) are the most current versions of both sofware
packages.

That's correct. One of the reasons the Student and Teacher edition is so
cheap is because it doesn't qualify for any upgrades.

So then I have to install Office 97 before I install Access 2003 and then
upgrade the Office 97 to Office 2003?
