how do I get an item to scale in a room layout?

I'm using Visio Pro 2003 and I'm laying out a fitness room with exercise
equipment. I've got a file with pieces of fitness equipment, but when I
import them into my drawing they're not to scale. Please help. Thanks

What sort of images do you have? Are they Visio shapes or clipart?
