How do I get incoming mail to auto download w/o hitting Send/Rec

I want my new incoming mail to automatically download without having to hit
Send/Receive. How do I make this happen

This is posted very frequently in all the Outlook groups - you need to set a
polling time.
Depending on your version of Outlook (which you omitted) do
Tools-Send/Receive-Send/Receive settings-Define send/receive groups.
Do NOT set a time under 8-10 minutes....

In Options, set to send/receive on opening & set the automatic polling for
not less than 10 minutes
