If you have clicked Insert, Object and scrolled down the list to Microsoft
Equation 3.0 and not found it, was it installed when Office 2003 was
installed? Have you ever been able to use it?
If you need to install it, make sure you have the installation CD for Office
2003 and then start the Office setup.
Double-click the Add or Remove Programs icon in the Windows Control Panel.
Click Microsoft Office XXX 2003 and then click Change.
When the next window opens (Microsoft Office 2003 Setup) make sure that
Choose advanced customization of applications is checked. Click Next.
Scroll all way down list that opens to Office Tools (last item). Click +
mark next to Office Tools. Equation Editor should be set to run from My
Computer. Click on drop down arrow and then select Run from My Computer.
Click Update. Follow instructions as to disk requirements. You should then
have Equation Editor available.
