How do I get my MS Pub 2000 to open Pub files from Pub 2003?

i cannot get my Publisher 2000 to open files from Pub 2003....do i have to
buy Pub 2003? or is there a solution that I can download? I have already
disabled my antivirus and that didn't do anything.. also my files are not
"read only".

Publisher 2000 cannot open Publisher 2003 files.
You will have to ask a Publisher 2003 user to convert them to Publisher 2000
format by going to File > Save As... > Publisher 2000.
This loses formatting, and is not recommended as a mechanism for two users
of different versions to work on a document.
Upgrading to Publisher 2002 or 2003 is the best solution. (Publisher 2002
CAN open Publisher 2003 files with zero formatting loss)
