How do I get out of design mode when it is unable to create?

Design Mode

I am creating a form, and using the design function. I have received a
message that states "Can't exit design mode because Control 'CheckBox141' can
not be created". When I delete and recreate this checkbox, the document
errors out another check box. I am unsure how to solve this problem.

This sounds as if the document may be damaged, or you may be inserting too
many ActiveX controls into it (Checkbox 141??)

Every ActiveX control you insert is embedding an OLE interface into the
document, which puts a lot of strain on the document binary structures and
Word. If you need this many fields, you may need to consider a different
approach. Could you use the checkboxes from the Forms toolbar, instead?
